DES to temporarily close a portion of 15th Avenue Southwest

Barricades indicate a closed road on the Capitol Campus.

This temporary closure will last May 6 - June 10.

Where: 15th Avenue Southwest between Columbia Street and Water Street.

What's happening: Crews will remove existing asphalt to regrade and repave the section of 15th Avenue Southwest. The sidewalk, curb, and gutter on the north side of 15th Avenue Southwest will be removed and electrical conduit installed. Once this is complete the curb, gutter and sidewalk will be repoured.

Impacts: 15th Avenue Southwest will be closed to all traffic from Columbia Street to Water Street. The sidewalk on the north side of 15th Avenue Southwest will be closed.

When: May 6 - June 10.

All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with Hoffman Construction at Seattle for this effort.
