Pets
Much of the Capitol Campus feels like a park, and your dog or other pets are welcome on the campus grounds. For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, pets must always be under your physical control and cleaned up after.
Pets are not allowed inside buildings.
Service animals
You may bring a service animal when visiting Capitol Campus.
Service animals
Service animals can be dogs of any breed and size, or miniature horses, that are trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability.
Service animals are not:
- Required to be certified or go through a professional training program.
- Required to wear a vest or other ID to indicate they’re a service animal.
- Emotional support or comfort animals.
Asking if an animal is a service animal
Our staff is allowed to:
- Ask if the animal is a service animal you need because of a disability.
- Ask what work or task the animal has been trained to perform.
Our staff isn't allowed to:
- Request any documentation that the animal is registered, licensed, or certified as a service animal.
- Require that the animal demonstrate its task.
- Ask about the nature of your disability.
Removing a service animal
We may ask you to remove your service animal if:
- The animal isn't housebroken.
- The animal is out of control, and you can't get it under control.
