About the tour

Botanical tours are free and last about 75 minutes. Our campus horticulturist will lead you through West Capitol Campus to explore the original landscape designs of the famous Olmsted Brothers landscape design firm, who also designed New York City's Central Park. West Campus contains many interesting trees and plant life, all with their own unique look, purpose, and history.

Both East and West Capitol Campus showcase examples of sustainable landscape practices. Our grounds staff continue to pilot projects that maintain plant health and protect the environment. You can learn more about their projects on this tour.

The main botanical tour explores part of West Campus. Special tours of the pollinator garden on East Campus can be scheduled separately or added to the main botanical tour.
