Prohibited Items & Activities
To keep everyone safe and preserve the historic beauty of the Capitol Campus grounds, there are things we don't allow on campus.
Prohibited items
These items aren't allowed anywhere on campus:
- Barbecue grills
- Confetti
- Glitter
- Oil, paint, or chalk
- Firearms or other weapons
- Drones and remote-controlled aircrafts
These items are not allowed inside any buildings on campus:
- Voice amplification equipment such as blow horns, sirens, or other similar devices
- Tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks
- Personal chairs and tables
- Signs that are mounted on a stick

Prohibited activities
We also never allow any of the following activities on campus:
- Swimming, kayaking, boating, or fishing in Capitol Lake
- Camping
- Skateboarding, roller skating, or rollerblading
- Using drugs or alcohol illegally
- Damaging property or people
- Disrupting normal government business or permitted events
- Blocking entrances, exits, staircases, doorways, or hallways
- Advertising or soliciting
