Story of the Tree
As part of an Arbor Day celebration, this tree was planted in an existing landscape bed southeast of the Cherberg Building on West Campus.
This planting showed that adding a tree to a landscape bed, as opposed to planting it by itself in the middle of a lawn, benefits the soil, fungi, and plants around it.
Cloud 9 is known for its iconic, abundant white flowers.
