YMCA Youth in Government

Students enact a mock session of the Washington State Legislature.

When:

Wednesday, May 7, through Saturday, May 10.

Where:

  • Legislative Building: Rotunda, 3rd Floor Mezzanine, State Reception Room, South Portico, Columbia Room.
  • Office Building 2: Auditorium & Foyer.

Impacts:

Some scheduled events take place inside the Legislative Building after it closes to the public at 5 p.m. 

Public Service Recognition Week

An event recognizing state employees for their work in public service.

When:

Wednesday, May 7, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event takes place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where:

East Campus Plaza

Impacts:

Organizers expect 1,800 attendees.
