Events, parking closures at Capitol Campus Aug. 2-3

Visitors should expect crowds and closures to parking and roadways for the following events.

Rage Against the Regime: A Non-Violent Protest

When:

Saturday, Aug. 2, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Event takes place noon to 3 p.m.

Where:

Lawn near Tivoli Fountain, north steps of Legislative Building.

Impacts:

Organizers expect 3,000 attendees. The following streets and parking areas will be closed:

  • North and South Diagonals
  • Cherry Lane
  • Flag Circle

Mass Rally against Thailand's aggression in Cambodia

When:

Sunday, Aug. 3, noon – 6 p.m. Event takes place 1-5 p.m.

Where:

North steps of the Legislative Building.

Impacts:

Organizers expect at least 300 attendees.
