Tours are available Wednesday, Nov. 6 and Wednesday, Nov. 13 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Reservations for November tours at the Washington State Governor’s Mansion are now open. In celebration of the state’s 135th birthday, the theme for these tours is “Salute to Statehood.”

In addition to touring the mansion’s rooms, visitors can view rare, original documents chronicling Washington’s path to statehood, presented in partnership with Washington State Archives. “These tours offer a unique opportunity to step back in time and learn about this pivotal moment in Washington’s history,” said Dawna Donohue, chair of the Governor’s Mansion Foundation docents program. Docents lead tours for the Governor’s Mansion Foundation, an all-volunteer organization honoring the executive residence’s historical and cultural significance through preservation, advocacy, and public education.

The half-hour tours are free and open to the public. For reservations, complete a mansion tour request form. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Each tour is open to 30 guests.
