New tours reservation application aims to improve customer service.

The Department of Enterprise Services has released a new booking system for four types of guided tours. It allows users to better plan and manage their visit.

Use the system to book:

Under our old reservation system, visitors were unable to learn about tour availability without speaking directly to a member of our small staff, who can be difficult to reach during tour season, which coincides with the legislative session.

Now, visitors can manage their own bookings. They can also easily see openings for multiple tours on any given day. This makes it easier for school or civic groups to pair a visit to the Governor’s Mansion with a tour of the Legislative Building.

Visitors still need to book guided botanical walks and tours of the Capitol’s veterans memorials by phone or email through the Visitor Services office.

The state Capitol welcomes more than 400,000 visitors a year. In 2024, we led more than 1,600 tours of the Legislative Building for more than 20,000 visitors.

From January through June 2025, more than 14,000 schoolchildren from more than 250 schools across Washington state explored the Capitol on guided field trips.
