State Patrol swearing-in on Oct. 10 to impact Capitol parking, tours

Ceremony organizers expect 200 participants to attend the event.

WHAT: Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer graduation and swearing-in ceremony, with remarks by State Patrol Chief John Batiste.

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 10, 10-11 a.m. Setup begins at 7:30 a.m.

WHERE:

  • Legislative Building, third- and fourth-floor mezzanines.
  • Parking stalls along the North Diagonal.

IMPACTS:

  • DES will suspend Legislative Building tours from 10-11 a.m.
  • Parking stalls on the North Diagonal will close.
  • Expect an increase in pedestrian traffic.
