Veterans Day events at the Capitol

Rotunda, Vietnam War Memorial will host ceremonies Monday, Nov. 11

WHAT: Two events will be held on West Capitol Campus on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.

  • The state Department of Veterans Affairs will host a ceremony in the Rotunda of the Legislative Building with speeches, a military band, and a color guard presentation.
  • The Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony will be at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

WHEN:

  • Rotunda ceremony: 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Welcome Home ceremony: 12:30 to 1:45 p.m.

IMPACTS:
Organizers anticipate up to 275 attendees. Expect increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Plan additional time to find parking. Due to the color guard presentation in the Rotunda, mock weapons may be visible on campus.
