The Sunken Garden design and layout uses classic, formal European garden design elements:
- a sense of mystery created by a boxwood hedge
- formal, straight lines
- rectangular-shaped beds that contain a mix of annual and perennial plants.
These elements create a garden with diverse forms, colors, and textures throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
Location
This garden is located in West Campus near the Legislative Building, with views of the West Campus historic buildings and the Winged Victory Memorial. Stroll the paths and check out the interpretive signs to discover how this garden is a pollinator habitat.
Parking
Park in the West Campus visitor lots for $2 per hour. The closest visitor lot to this garden is located on the North Diagonal.
