Parking

Capitol Campus offers paid visitor parking, ADA parking, EV charging stations, and bike racks.

General public visitor parking

If you're visiting Capitol Campus for a tour, event, or hearing, you can park in our visitor parking lots.

Visitor parking costs $2 per hour between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Parking is free on weekends and evenings.

Official state business visitor parking

Depending on your sponsoring agency's policy, they may be able to pre-pay or reimburse your parking fees. 

To pre-pay, your agency needs to email the parking office with the following information:

  • Start and end dates
  • Billing code
  • Number of permits

Our parking office will create an invoice for the fees, print the passes, and deliver them to your agency before you arrive on campus.

Street parking

Visit the City of Olympia website to find metered street parking areas around Capitol Campus. Street parking costs $2 per hour between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Parking is free on weekends and evenings.

Accessible parking

Parking for visitors or employees with disabilities is available in all lots and garages on Capitol Campus. 

You may park in accessible parking zones if your vehicle displays one of the following: 

  • License plate for persons with disabilities
  • Parking placard for persons with disabilities
  • License plate year tab for persons with disabilities

EV charging stations

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for visitors at Capitol Gateway Park, the Natural Resources Building, and on level A of the Plaza Garage.

Charging costs:

  • $0.25 per kWh at Capitol Gateway Park (four-hour limit). After four hours, you must pay $5 per hour to park here.
  • $0.39 per kWh at the Natural Resources Building (30-minute limit), plus $1 per hour to park here from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • No charging fee in the Plaza Garage (four-hour limit). You must pay $2 per hour to park here from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Bike parking

Bike racks are located outside most buildings. Always make sure to lock up your bike and take your valuables with you.
