Park, trail reopen after flooding
Waters from Capitol Lake and the Deschutes River basin caused flooding Dec. 9-11 at Marathon Park.
Following local flooding from Deschutes River, Marathon Park and trail are open.

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) has reopened public areas around Capitol Lake.

- Trail from Marathon to Heritage Park
Why
Earlier this week, heavy rain and high tides caused flood conditions in low-lying areas around Capitol Lake. DES closed the park and trail Tuesday. Since then, tides and river flows have dropped.
